The following ratings (as of July 1st, 2017) will be used to determine player section eligibility:
  1. For Canadian residents outside Quebec: CFC rating
  2. Residents of Quebec: Higher of CFC and FQE ratings
  3. US Residents: Higher of CFC and USCF ratings
  4. All other foreign players: Higher of CFC and FIDE ratings
  5. For any player in the Master section, FIDE will be used for eligibility if it is higher than other available ratings.
Unrated or provisionally rated players may not win more than C$1000 except in open section.
